Lymphatic Techniques for Head/Neck/Brain(C114)

No Prerequisites. This class is designed to teach you to move stagnate lymph to boost the immune system, clean sinus, reduce swelling, increase circulation and speed healing.
The entire Lymphatic system will be addressed within this class. It is a nurturing and relaxing massage for those who may not be able to tolerate deep pressure. Head, Neck & Brain work is the basis for all Lymphatic Drainage and can be easily integrated with other modalities.
What to bring: Set of sheets, face cradle cover & blanket for each day of class for your personal use, your favorite lubrication, 1 hand towel per day and materials to take notes. Massage tables are provided.
A lunch break will be taken midday. You may bring your lunch, or eat at one of the many restaurants located nearby.

Understanding How to Massage Lymphedema Patients(C116)

This class is designed to teach you about the disease of Lymphedema so that you can gain an understanding on how to massage to benefit and not hinder their condition.
Prerequisites: NONE
This is a lecture class. No table work will be done. An understanding of pressure will be explored while in class along with a discussion of massage techniques that are appropriate.

Lymphatic Drainage Abdominal Technique (C122)
with Denise Gleason
Prerequisite: Any lymphatic drainage training; not necessarily at Cumberland Institute
CE Credits: 8 Hours
Cost: $250.00 ($295.00 if registering within 7 days of class)
This class is designed to understand the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system and to develop the skill to palpate/stimulate the abdominal area, assisting in lymphatic drainage.
This class is a combination of lecture and hands-on bodywork; mostly clothed work. Lecture handouts will be given. Please bring your own sheets, blankets, lubrication and lymphatic essential oils for your own usage. Massage tables are provided.
