with Sandy Gordon

CE Credits: 22 Hours

NCBTMB Approved Provider # 142749-00
Cost: $570 ($615 if registering within 7 days of class)

This advanced Prenatal Massage course contains much more than common contraindications and safe positioning. You will learn the most common structural changes experienced during pregnancy and perform specific massage techniques that address those structural challenges. We will explore the most recent scientific information regarding the significance of pregnancy and the impact of the Mom’s thoughts, emotions and feelings upon the unborn child and be able to communicate those concepts. You will massage a pregnant Mom during the last day of the class.

This is a hands-on, interactive workshop and there will be plenty of practice time for the massage techniques learned during the class. A manual will be provided. What to Bring:

  • Pen and Paper for Note Taking
  • 2 SETS of Twin Sheets
  • 8 Pillow Cases
  • 4 Large Towels
  • 2 Hand Towel

The Prenatal Massage Certificate class can be taken just for the 22 ce credits. To receive certification from B.A.B.Y. Inc., students must complete additional requirements which include: reading the two required books and performing 10 prenatal massage sessions with documentation (must be completed within one-year of classwork).

A lunch break will be taken midday. You may bring your lunch, or eat at one of the many restaurants located nearby.

Call Teresa Greene at 615-370-9794 if you have any questions.
