Prerequisite: E305 Lymphatic Drainage Class -Full body.
This class will be a prerequisite for a future class, “Lymphatic Drainage for Compromised Breasts”.
Students will give and receive the work in the classroom; therefore, this class will be limited to female therapists.
This class will provide attendees with knowledge of the anatomy the lymphatic system pertaining to the breast area, skills in lymphatic drainage technique to palpate lymphatic fluid and stimulate drainage in the normal, healthy breast. They will also learn boundaries for legal and appropriate inclusion of breast massage in their practice, an overview of indications and contraindications for lymphatic drainage massage, and knowledge of how to instruct clients on healthy breast care in everyday life. Breast tissue is often ignored in massage in the United States, but it is a useful technique to assist clients in flushing their breast tissue of toxic cells which may be the result of exposure to many household or cosmetic products.
