Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. It is a powerful form of hands-on healing. It was re-discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui at the turn of the 20th century in Kyoto, Japan.

When life force energy is flowing freely, you are healthy and balanced. When it is compromised, you are susceptible to illness and stress. Reiki is safe and natural, an input of pure energy that enhances the body’s innate ability to heal itself. These classes will teach you how to keep the energetic field clear and unobstructed within you and for others around you. Reiki is a powerful but simple tool, which can be used to achieve healing and balance for you, family and friends, animals, plants, or situations.

C 402 - Reiki I teaches the history of Reiki, and includes attunements that open the flow of physical energy. It also covers the training and hands-on work necessary for participant to conduct a full Reiki healing session. There is no prerequisite for Reiki I, other than the desire to become still and allow the life force energy to flow freely through you.

C 403 - Reiki II opens greater energy flow, adding a component addressing emotional energy. In addition to the second level attunements, in Reiki II participants will learn the Reiki keys, and a method for long-distance healing. Reiki I is the prerequisite for Reiki II.

The Master Teacher Level (Reiki III) opens another level of energy, which affects spiritual issues. It is available individually. You can contact the class instructor to discuss continuing, after you complete the first two levels.

Sarah Brant’s call to massage therapy began early in life. Dealing with crippling headaches for years, the only relief she found was in massage. She believed so strongly in this way of healing and sought to help others who were experiencing similar issues. Sarah has been practicing bodywork since graduating from Southeastern Institute in Charlotte, NC in 2013. She went on to work for Eden Therapy and Massage before opening her own practice, Turning Pointe Massage, in 2016.

Sarah is a retired classically trained ballerina and Black Belt in Tang Soo Do, now combining her passions into educating others on the importance of self-care, body movement, and stretching! She was recommended by a teacher to take a Thai Massage CE class and from her first class with Living Sabai in June of 2019, she knew that she was meant for Thai Massage!  She immediately began taking all of Living Sabai’s courses, falling in love with being a TA, and finally traveling to Chiang Mai, Thailand in January 2023 for the study abroad trip. There she studied at ITM and OmSala. Her favorite part of teaching is watching students fall in love with Thai massage and find a revitalization for their practices.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys camping with her husband, son, and Australian Shepherd. As a family they love to travel, mountain bike, and listen to live music.
